Answer the Call is a set apart time to respond to the Call of the Bridegroom King.
Jesus is our bridegroom and longs for intimacy with His bride. He is continually calling us; "Come Away with Me," "Come Unto ME," "Call to Me," "Ask, Seek, Knock"
Answer the Call is a time where we the bride respond to that Call. The Call for intimacy and the Call to petition and intercede for what is on God's heart.This Call is answered in 2 specific ways at the Uprising.
1. Every Tuesday night at 7pm we meet for a time of corporate worship and intercession. We link up with the One who ever lives to make intercession for us. It is a time where we pray for one another, the city, the nation, the lost, the sick, whatever the Lord leads us to from week to week. It is a time where we CALL OUT TO HIM. We also encourage the body to fast on this day .
2. Every January we begin the year with a corporate fast. A time of pursuing Jesus with all, denying self and flesh for more of Him.
Jesus said in Matt 9:15 "The time will come when the Bridegroom (Jesus) will be taken from them; then they (my disciples) will fast."
In this passage we see a transition from the old traditions of fasting into a new reason to fast. It is not fasting because of crisis, mourning, or need but it is the Bridegroom fast, a fast of longing for more of Jesus in our lives. We also see in this passage how this kind of fast transforms us into new wineskins to hold the new wine the Lord desires to pour out on His church.
