Man-Up II Conference
March 25-26, here at The Uprising (Friday from 7-10:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM). The cost is $49 per person ($29 for high-school and college students). Guest speaker will be Corey Russell from the IHOP and the conference will also feature 3 speaking sessions, break-out sessions, and lunch will be provided by Chic-Fil-A. Radical Reading
The Uprising Church is partaking in what we are calling "Radical Reading." For the entire month of March the church will be corporately reading the books of Romans and 1 Corinthians.
Baby Dedication Dates
The following Sundays are days that we will be having baby dedications: May 27, July 31, & November 27, 2011 at the 10:15 service. If you wish to have your child dedicated, please contact the office.
Royal Rangers 2011 Sectional Pinewood Derby
This event is open to all Rangers in outpost 373, grades K-8th. Car kits may be purchased from Commander Ron Douglas at $3.50 each. The Rangers are working on their cars 2/15 thru 3/8. There is a registration fee of $5 to pay at th edoor the day of the race which provides the boys with lunch. Come out and support our boys and see if Daniel Bolen will defend his 2010 1st place title. When: March 12, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Where: Delmarva Evangelistic Church auditorium. Costs: $3.50 per car kit (see Ron Douglas); $5 registration day of race (includes lunch). Business owners: The Rangers are looking for sponsors to advertise the day fo the race in Race Day flyer--see Rocky Klaverweiden. Kingdom Kids
Kingdom Kids needs some assistance. A teacher for the three-year-old class is needed along with some assistants (college age or older). Contact Lauren Freyder by email (lauren@theuprisingchurch.org) if you are available and willing to help.
Nursery Ministry
Attention Parents: we need volunteers in the Nursery. If your children are a part of the Nursery Ministry, would you please consider taking a turn in the rotation of volunteers. If you are interested, please contact the office.
Foster Parent Information
Ryan & Erin Basch will host an information gathering at their home on Monday, March 21, at 6:00 PM for anyone interested in finding out more aobut being a Foster Parent. This is a time to ask questions and gather info so you may pray for your involvement in loving one another in this fashion. Sign up in the Event Zone today!
Food Pantry
We have at least 4 openings with the Food Pantry Team to assist a shift once a month or to stock shelves, contact Ozzie Wilkinson at 410.219.5108 or call the church office at 410.546.9750.
