In 1996, Pastor Bill Cropper and his wife Ruth came to St. Paul’s Church which had been in existence as a small Methodist Church for nearly 100 years, since 1897. At that time the church had an average attendance of 40 people. Thirteen years later St. Paul’s Church is now The Uprising Church (at St. Paul’s).
With an average attendance of more than 600 active attendees, and even more in attendance at our weekly ministries, we are a spiritually thriving, healthy, church. Hundreds of lives have been transformed through salvation, and hundreds of others have been ministered to in the last 13 years. “This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.” (Psalm 118:23)
In 2007, we moved into a new 800-seat sanctuary where on Sundays we experience powerful worship and inspired, spirit-filled teaching and preaching. We also have weekly prayer meetings, youth church, college ministry, men’s ministry groups, and a vibrant women’s ministry. Our children have their own sanctuary and Children’s Pastor on Sunday and during the week as well. Our nursery facilities are a clean, safe place for your young ones as you worship with us.
We have a well established ministry to those in need through our Hebron Food Pantry which distributes to approximately 40 families per month and a Feeding Ministry which distributes hot meals to the elderly each month.
This is our Story of how God has taken the faith of our Pastor, his Wife, and a small number of faithful believers and turned it into an “UPRISING”.
